I left a company for that very reason. They only made 1.5 cpl for templates that came in automatically, depending on the work type they entered. The problem was the doctors did not know anything about work types and kept entering the wrong ones, EVERY SINGLE report. Sooo, you had to take that whole template out, enter the correct work type, and then move all of the text in the correct places according to dictation. Also, once the correct template came in, the doctors actually dictated what was in them so you had to remove all of that. A lot of work on every report to insure that you only got paid 1.5 cpl.
These companies will lose many good MTs because they do not have client cooperation, but they will not say anything to those clients. They do not care about our pay, only maintaining the client and keeping them happy. A lot of extra work for nothing when many problems could be solved so easily. These days most MTs are very good and have lengthy experience, and the MTSOs are wasting them.
