Nothing personal, but I do not reply to personal emails sent from this site.

That being said, I will give you a little background. I have been an MT for 25 years. The first 2 companies I worked for went out of business. Long story short, the third company was bought by MModal. Spent 3 years there until I could not take it anymore. Went to Amphion. First week on the job they were acquired by Imedx. Worse than MModal actually. Took that IC job, lasted a week. Could not even make minimum wage because of new account that they were not actually managing.

I put my resume on here. The caption read, "I am an orthopedic expert." It did not say I can do any work type, any hours, any pay. I focused on what I actually do best. I made it stand out. Listed everything I had done, but stated that I was a specialist in orthopedics. You would be surprised at how many large ortho clinics there are, BIG ones, who do not use the big three. My resume was there over 6 months. Had to keep "renewing it." I got some emails, was picky because I could tell some just wanted me to catch up a backlog. Some said part time will turn into full time. That means they did not have enough work. Some wanted ME to pay for software, etc. Some I just totally ignored. After that 6 months, while I was at that IC job that lasted for 1 week, I was emailed about doing ortho work for a company who really only has 20-30 employees. Very large ortho practice, straight typing, 8 cpl, assigned to about 20 doctors. No set schedule, do the 1,200 line count between midnight and midnight. Demos already there. I can take off whenever I want with a few days notice. I work M-F from 8-4. No weekends, holidays. I have found that even with the same 8 cpl, because of normals, etc., I can make more than I ever did doing VR. No wonder no one leaves this place. So, sorry I cannot help you there. I had only been at that job 1 week when I was contacted. I have never been quick to leave jobs in the past but hey, after my experiences with M and Imedx I am looking out for number 1 now, ME. So I took that job without hesitation and dropped the other like a hot potato. So glad I did.

What I will say is that I wanted away from Imedx so bad that I left my resume on 2 boards and just kept renewing it. I was persistent. I was just waiting for someone to need the specialty I was best at, of course with a backup account, which I have yet to really do much work on. I waded through a few scams or dead-end jobs for a couple weeks and then BINGO! Hit the jackpot. They found me. Wanted my resume and wanted me to start ASAP. Please consider this. I was told that they do not post job ads because they are just rained on with resumes and cannot read them all, so they look through the Job Wanted/Resumes until they find what they are looking for. It could be you. State 1 or 2 specialties that you feel you do best and sit back and wait. It will not be tomorrow or the next (though could be) and it takes time but if you really want out of Imedx you have to do all you can to make that happen. And no, don't quit for just any job. Wait, be patient, and the right one will come along.

Good luck to you.
