and pretty much how you're networking. You'll ferry people around or meet them at night, on weekends, early in the morning, whatever you need to do to sell. You have to hustle constantly and it consumes your life. Some people sell only high-end homes but you generally have to know the people and look the part before that world opens up to you.

The average agent spends time showing and showing and listening to the clients complain about what is wrong with every house, lots of haggling, many deals falling through at the last minute for many reasons, none of which you have any control over. How comfortable are you showing a house in a sketchy neighborhood in the dark with your client being a male by himself? How thick is your skin to make suggestions to sellers and have none of them implemented so the house sells for more money (and a higher commission for you)? To me, it's a thankless job
