I can't tell you how often I am asked by young moms about wanting to become an MT. I tell them to run away, fast. LOL.
When I started in this field back in the early 1990s, my son was 4 at the time - I thought how nice it would be to save $$ on daycare. WRONG.
But yes, I feel badly for the many young moms out there who DO want to stay at home and earn $$.
Very seldom am I asked about this "career" by men, and only have "met" male MTs that I can count on one hand.
I guess it is what it is. In this day and age, it is still the mom who typically takes care of the children and household.
