14 extra hours for only $12 an hour isn't worth it. I cannot physically and mentally do more than 9 hours a day after 2 weeks of working like someone has a gun to my head. I need at least one day off a week, and really I need both of my days off.
I'm starting to notice my concentration dropping. My elbows ache. I dream about typing reports, so it's like I'm working all night too. I've started having headaches and being grouchy with my family.
The money is nice. Really nice. But the incentive is not even on the same playing field anymore. At $12 an hour, I'm just feeding Uncle Sam's pockets.
