I understand this job is very demanding and we DO NOT get paid what we deserve; however, this is the state of this industry and we have two choices. Put up with it and hopefully it will change in the future or get out of transcription altogether. What is not an option is to do a shoddy job- letting stats go by the wayside, not giving our 100% to our jobs. The job can be taken away from you and you could be on unemployment and that is no fun. No one is disagreeing that Nuance and EMR is our worst enemy but even worse is someone giving up and not putting in a good job. Have some pride and dignity in your work. Even if you dont care about patient care, have pride in yourself and saying I do a good job. Let us all hope and pray that this little Nuance stunt may get the recognition we need to make some change IN OUR FAVOR for the future of medical records keeping.
