I hope this isn't all because Nuance didn't apply the "patch" Microsoft issued in March. THAT would be very poor PR.
We were just fussing over obtaining programs that are no longer supported or sold to set up a computer, so that leaped to mind when I first read about the Petya attacks in Europe. But I assumed an advanced company like Nuance would be on top of it. May have been of course.
