Life choice question - frying pan into fire Posted: Jun 23rd, 2017 - 1:10 am
So, I live near an Amazon warehouse and have been hired as a full time permanent employee. I have read horror stories about this particular job. However, it is days (4 10 hour days a week, and of course the insane mandatory OT at Christmas). But the rest of the year 4 10 hour dayshift days sound kinda like heaven.
I'm torn do I stay with MModal working a truly lousy shift, never knowing if there will be enough work or jump into a notoriously hard labor job.
The hourly pay is pretty similar, with Amazon coming out a bit ahead due to benefits and OT.
Thoughts?
