Can't you get HUD or renters assistance somewhere.
I live in a housing complex that has various priced places. I live in a one bedroom and am so fortunate that I found it after I lost my MT jobs in 2011 due to company splitting and my best accounts going with the nasty side who didn't pay much and of course, there was no work anywhere.
