Moderator: Create a Line Rate Board where we can - report what companies are paying. Posted: Jun 21st, 2017 - 8:09 am
On this and every other MT job board, just about all we ever see is something like "competitive line rates" so lots of us waste our time going through an application/testing/interviewing process only to discover that the line rates are even lousier than the lousy rates we're making now.
Meanwhile, we have this information right here on the forum, in the form of people who are working for these companies. We should have a specific forum where we can go to report our line rates.
Let's let some daylight into this area so companies stop hiding behind meaningless expressions of their compensation - which are sometimes even deceitful because they're not "competitive" at all.
And incidentally, transparency in this area might even mean that the line rates begin to improve once they are easily-researched public knowledge.
