The reason why most people stay is because finding a new job in this field is NOT easy these days. It's not anything like it was 8-10 years ago, when there were more MT jobs than there were qualified MTs and you could easily land a new job within just a day or two. Many of the MTSOs that once existed are now long gone and many have been gobbled up by the likes of Nuance and other offshore entities, leaving very few companies to work for. What decent jobs are still out there are HIGHLY competitive and you have to be EXTREMELY quick to get your resume to them before yours is buried under 50 other applicants and yours never sees the light of day. Ten years ago, you could post your resume on here and the next day have 5 companies wanting to hire you. Sadly, those days are long gone. It can take MONTHS to land a decent job in this field these days, so maybe that's why many people don't leave. It's simply a case of "it's better than nothing." A lot of people need the job and can't afford to just up and leave until they secure something else. Not all of us have a nice, cushy bank account to fall back on. Don't you think most KS employees who are sick of being paid late are actively trying to find something else so they can get out??? Get your head of of your ass. It's not a cakewalk out there.
