If you are a true IC, they do not have a right to withhold anything from your check. Suppose you hired a plumber to come over and do repairs and then when you paid him, told him you would withhold 12% and send him a check at the end of the year. What company is this? There is something not right here, unless it was an option that YOU AGREED TO.
