As an independent contractor, you are NOT eligible for unemployment unless you deducted it and paid into it with what you earned. The only tine you are eligible for unemployment is if you were an employee and terminated and did not quit voluntarily or partial unemployment due to lack of work. I am afraid you are SOL.
