You have a Monday through Friday schedule? You are pretty fortunate to have acquired a Monday through Friday schedule. It doesn't sound like the request is a permanent situation like it is for those who have to work a weekend day who are just asking for a day off. I am not sure of the situation but perhaps they are not able to find anyone else who is willing to work a weekend TO be able to hire. If someone is already scheduled to work during that time, aren't they needed somewhere else already? Everyone wants Monday through Friday. You must have work then if they need coverage before someone can take off. Isn't that a good thing?
