platform - questions

Posted: May 7th, 2017 - 11:24 pm

I hope this doesn't get switched to the tech board because it's not really a tech question, it's an IC question.  My PC has a big hard drive but it isn't partitioned.  What do the ICs do when they have several accounts and several platforms on one computer?  Is there ever a conflict?  Is it just like any other application, in that when it's open, it's open, and when it's closed, it's closed?  I have worked on so many platforms over the years, some of them very unstable, most have been okay but a couple of them not so much.

I guess that it's technically not even an IC question per se.  You could be a part time employee at more than one MTSO and have several platforms installed as well.

I'm just unsure about how all the different platforms fit into the big picture.  Is having a few platforms on your PC no big deal?  I have Windows 7 Professional, 64- bit, but runs all 32-bit programs.  Can anyone share about this?  Thanks for any input you can give!
