refuse but was told I had to because they needed QA right now. I would not choose to do a job that SHOULD pay more but actually pays less. I'm just thankful that I found out that I am still doing both MT and QA, and it seems only about 1/4 of my shift is QA. It sucks switching back and forth, back and forth, but at least now my pay will only be cut by X amount instead of XX amount. At my company (not Nuance)...QA doesn't affect the MT's pay. If it did, I would have to quit because I would want NO part of that. I know I'm not going to last though.
