There is way more to it than that. Somebody has to go through the pre-employment process of putting out the ad, wading through resumes, testing applicants, etc. After hiring, a current employee/ owner has to train that new employee on their system, do the employment paperwork, walk them through lots of different things like intense QA. As slow as I am at a new company, it is just as slow and laborious for the person who has to train me.
