From RN to MT - Aaron

Posted: Apr 25th, 2017 - 7:34 am In Reply to: Old RN--New MT?? - Ruth

Hi, Ruth. I am also both an RN and an MT. I have tried to train many RNs who wish to retire from nursing, and, although I do believe they can learn this, they always quit after one week. They think it is going to be easy and it is not. I am also surprised at how very little medical terminology the average RN actually knows. I do believe any RN can learn this stuff, but just don't be shocked, like my RN friends were, to find out that it is serious work. As far as income is concerned, if you only want to supplement your retirement income by say, about 500 dollars a month, then sure!
