Hi, Ruth. You've come to the right place to learn about the challenges of being an MT! I agree with the other well-stated replies that shed a true light on the transcription industry today. My advice would be to stay away from becoming an MT, unless working from home is what you want and would not be the sole source of income. Unaware if a clinical documentation specialist position would fit your need, but it would be better in terms of income/stability than an MT position would be. Wish you the very best in your search!!
