Old RN--New MT?? - Ruth

Hey all.

I just came across this board (oddly enough via Rat Race Rebellion, though circuitous) and I am reading a lot of negative talk about the profession as a whole.

I have had to retire from work early due to disability. I was/am an RN, but worked in the IT dept building documentation systems through McKesson and then Epic the last 10 years. I was thinking that MT might have been a viable income stream, but maybe not?

It seems that the pay is very low for the work done, and working from home not always a possibility. 

I was really hoping to leverage my medical and tech background to keep bringing in SOME money. 

Any advice?
