Having worked in medical records too prior to working from home, I really get what you are saying. Medical records departments are largely female dominated. There is a lack of solidarity. The medical records department is not taken seriously in the hospital and is very low on the hospital administration's list of priorities (hence all the offshoring/outsourcing). Weird because if something was not documented, it is just like it has not been done. If something was incorrectly documented, that is another problem indeed.
