Hey, thanks for taking the time to post your retail experience. Perhaps there is hope. I'm pretty active as well, although I'll admit I can't hoist 50# sacks of potting soil like I did 10 years ago. This lifting thing has kept me from applying at Walmart and the like, although I've never really checked to see what the actual requirements are. I do know that I worry about my sedentary lifestyle; sitting on my ample backside for 8 to 10 hours a day is the norm; I've downsized to the point that I don't have a yard to putter in anymore, and despite lovely weather I can't seem to motivate myself to do any walking. Hmmm. Perhaps retail would help there as well. My state just put minimum wage into effect at $10--certainly WAY more than I'm making now at 0.0345 cpl IC status. Again, thanks for posting!!
