Tigerdirect.com and a couple of other computer places sometimes have older refurb computers that have the "older" requirements needed for many transcription services that have not updated their software as new technology has been introduced.
Generally you can get a system for around 500 or so. Unfortunately, the older the software/hardware needed, the more expensive it is. They will also sometimes carry the older OEM software that is download only and you can buy it, download it and then install it. Just remember to uninstall the newer Office you currently have before trying to install the older version.
