I have answered in this forum often. I was a 30+year transcriptionist and my employer offered me an entry level job based on CCS certification thru AHIMA. I did their on-line program and got certified. I coded outpatient labs for 2 years and then moved into ED. I think $$ depends on where you live. Keep educating yourself and start somewhere at the very bottom. Don't give up. I actually like Coding better.
