After my Bose fell apart, I bought recommended WordSlinger earbud style but I could not hear as well as with my spendy old Bose over-the-ear. I found out that I could buy replacement ear padding and a new cord for the Bose for less than $25. I have been using the $150 pair of Bose for 6 years now with the replacement parts. It was a good long-term value. Apparently my reports are high quality and I leave very few blanks
