I did insurance transcription for about 6 months last year after MT-ing for 30+ years. I tried to make it financially, but could not.. The quality was terrible; recordings were made over cell phones and typing every cough, sneeze, burp, uh, um, etc., was difficult! The voice files are very long, sometimes hours long. There was an occasional court case and trying to decipher the different people talking all at once was so stressful, as QA was expected to be 100%.
