I already know a lot of folks will not like this reply but here goes:
Some of us would be delighted to be making even $8.00 an hour for the same work you are doing. The poorer the state, the lower the state's minimum wage employers are required to pay for the same work/same hours/same or better experience. This is not new, but it needed to be said.
