The problem with general transcription just paying this much is the amount of time it takes to Google so many things, as usually the people talking may just randomly list off cities, restaurants, businesses in the area and it is your job as the transcriptionist to try and Google all of this and not just make a guess, etc. The time it takes to do all of this takes greatly from your pay per hour, so all of this has to be considered. And no, 30 dollars an audio hour is not good.
