When my grandmother-in-law passed a couple of years ago after her long battle with cancer, oncology reports affected me much differently. It made me think of her and what that patient and family were going through and I would just cry. And I don't think it's abnormal to feel the way you do. You're right - sometimes we just can't wrap our heads around the whys.
