Commas - On site QA

Posted: Feb 20th, 2017 - 8:37 pm In Reply to: Ok. QA dinged me for the following....am I looking at this - right?

In the corrected sentence, I would have omitted the comma between the word "old" and the word "Caucasian" but you really should not be dinged for commas unless it changes the meaning of the sentence, what you did is not wrong. It looks as if the word "cardiorespiratory" was omitted, that's kind of a biggie. Are you sure that you weren't dinged for that and not the comma placement? I would suggest that your QA staff refer to AHDI best practices and the Book of Style for information on comma placement.
