While I like this company in that they are extremely easy to deal with, the low pay like all the other companies hardly makes it worthwhile. Even if I worked every single day would not make enough to live on my own. I too am on food stamps. The area where I live does not offer much in other employment, at least not what I am qualified for. Trying to get in at a hospital that is relatively close by, but not looking forward to the drive. Job postings all want IC status, many many accounts with so much to learn, and then offer 4 cents a line. Some even lower which is hard to believe. I wish I had the answer. But again, you are not alone.
