See if there are jobs available. I did this a few years ago. Found out you need 2 years on-the-job experience before anyone will hire you. How do you get that experience, you ask? As a clerk at minimum wage in a HIM department. Even with 30 years transcription and a 97 on the test, I couldn't get an interview without 2 years in a HIM department "student coding" under a supervisor. It's a scam.
