I have a macro that I have used to save autocorrects. I do not think there is a file in Word 2003 that this is stored in, as it is for Word 2010 or 2013. The macro that I have was called "autocorrect.dot" and it did just fine, both for saving and also for backing up. It is good to have a back up just for yourself in case you have to change computers or you have to reinstall Office for any reason. What macro do you have?
