No one is promised an "easy" life. Of course it's not easy changing careers or getting training or moving to a location where there are actual jobs if we're in a location where there are none. But people do all of those things every day and live to tell about it.
Those who are willing to put up with a period of inconvenience or discomfort to make the necessary changes or get the training or find a better location will reap the benefits. Those who continue to complain about what has happened to them and refuse to make the necessary changes will have no one to blame but themselves.
The world changes all the time. Trying to force it to stay the same so we don't have to expend the effort to change with it is folly.
No one owes us a living or a job or anything.
