to go up but very slowly in increments, not straight to $15. Some states are still paying the Federal wage, what is it, around $7.25? With fewer and fewer people with technical skills and more and more jobs in restaurant, entertainment, and the hospitality realm (some of which do require skills) lots of people are being short changed on pay. More emphasis needs to be paid to technical/vocational education for everyone, even at the college level, so that the lower paying minimum wage jobs can go back to the high school and college crowd as part-time jobs. Even then, it needs to be higher than $7.25. My state's minimum wage is $9.60, soon to go up to $10.50. Talk to your state representatives about making the emphasis on technical and vocational education for your state to start the ball rolling.
