I'm with one of the big 3. One of our clients went to Epic a few years ago and there was a substantial drop in work on that account. Now we get many short "partial" files, many under 7 seconds in duration. These take longer to load than to transcribe/edit. If you're production paid, obviously this stinks. If you are employed by the hospital, maybe they will transition you to another department...? I'd see this as a good opportunity to retrain, as MT is such a dead end. I'd personally rather see Epic/Dragon replace my job than be sold out to one of the scum-sucking bottom-feeder MTSOs that treat MTs horribly and send work overseas.
As a patient, I've had a doctor use Dragon, give me the printed note to verify, and I assume he made changes/corrections -there really weren't any horrible errors on the note I saw. (I'm guessing he probably didn't actually make the changes though). ;)
