depends on what services they need you to do - StillAnMT

You probably need to figure out a base amount for just transcribing and sending back via Internet to their clinic.

With that in mind, it seems it would be wise to find out the details of the account. Do they want you to print? Do they want you to also do envelopes (even if it is a separate file with the correct formatting so that they could print it). Do they want you to make a list of patients from the log sheet that did not get typed? Do they want you to log onto their EMR and put the report in there? If they do want you to put it in their EMR, how cumbersome is that. EMRs are not the same in that regard. I talked to a physician once who wanted to dictate half the report (labs, etc) one day and then go back several days later and finish the same report after having seen the patient. That would have required some fine organizational skills on my part!

All these things have to be reflected in what you charge. Good luck!
