Good evening! I am a transcriptionist with 15+ years of experience as an MT and have an Associate Degree in Health Information Management. I am looking to approach some area counseling clinics about contracting with me to transcribe their dictation, but I do not know where to begin as far as what to charge as our industry has changed so much over the years. I know what I am currently getting paid by an MTSO, but obviously they get paid more than I do by their clients! ;) Any positive feedback would be much appreciated from those of you on this board who contract your services as well.
