QA hourly pay - uniquemonique

Posted: Jan 12th, 2017 - 7:57 pm In Reply to: QA Hourly Pay in the Past - CMT/QA a long time

years ago I did QA and made an hourly rate for a good company. Went from MT to QA. Did QA, typing when needed, and make sure the accounts I was assigned had enough coverage, moving MTs around when needed. Basically I did a shift lead's job. I really liked it. Then I was told I was going to be changed to production, after we lost one of our bigger accounts. Then, in 2013, I got a SALARIED job doing QA for a smaller company. The money was great and I liked the work and the company. I left there in 2015 and the pay has never been the same. I miss the good old days where we were paid 9 cents a line and it went up according to what you produced, there was night/weekend/holiday differential, everything that would make an MT/QA do their best. What irritates me the most is my husband think I can sit here and "whip out" a few thousand lines in a shift and make good money. He just doesn't get it.
