Back in the good ol' days, I made $21.00 per hour as QA person, working for one of the biggies. I did have a production requirement of 13 reports a day. That included full QA, filling in blanks, and giving feedback to the MTs electronically through the system. I was not part of the audit department, that was separate from QA department.
They changed my pay from hourly to per line, and I started looking for non-MT work straight away. Took a while, but got out about 4 years ago.
