With only one phone call, the DOL will begin an investigation and determine the legality of their process. I'm sure it's illegal, as a former employer had to pay back wages for a couple of years, and it amounted to quite a chunk for some employees. Pay and how it is calculated has to be a very transparent process--that's the law!!!
