Interview with a Medical Transcripionist - Ashley Posted: Nov 27th, 2016 - 9:54 pm
Greetings! I'm actually looking to interview someone within the medical transcription field for a class project I've been assigned. I'm taking a technology class for my court reporting/closed captioning studies, and my class is currently discussing and learning a bit about medical transcription.
If someone would be willing to answer a few questions, I would greatly appreciate the input:
- What prompted you to enter this field?
- What is it about medical transcription that you love the most?
- What is your least favorite aspect of this job?
- Do you work out of home, within a hospital, or freelance?
- What advice would you give to someone wanting to enter this line of work?
- How long did it take you to get to the level of proficiency and accuracy you are at currently?
- How many hours are typically spent transcribing and editing within a day?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! -- Ashley R.
