We certainly didn't go to med school but are expected to be able to interpret, read between the lines, make judgment calls 're inconsistencies and have probably helped save more lives and lawsuits than can ever be measured. My clinic doctor visit charges $181, but we get paid pennies a line for what we do. Something severely wrong with that scenario.
