It is totally wrong when a company does not use a system of first in/first out or prioritizing based on TAT, but rather assigns work. There is the possibility that because someone is better at doing a particularly horrible dictator or work type that's what they will be stuck with. This is called "performance punishment." It is totally uncalled for and creates a situation where the person who has a good grasp on ESLs or difficult work types gets crapped on. First they get stressful work and then they also get a lower rate of pay per hour by not getting a mix of good with the bad.
It is a form of cherry picking, but it is being done by the company rather than the workers.
