I am now IC for the first time in 17 years. Straight typing. I do 60-90 minutes of dictation a day and can't make more than 700 lines, average 500. That's about $35 a day. I am so angry and resentful that I can't stand it. I just had to pay quarterly taxes, almost $400, that is 2 weeks of pay. I have never had such horrible dictators, spend more time researching than typing, and management will never have my back. I am out there alone, starving and scared. Do not give up your hourly pay. You ask how many reports you would have to do? I did a 20-minute dictation today and got 41 lines. Lots of sighing, paper rattling, more sighing, and one sentence every 2 minutes. Keep your hourly job. The grass is not greener where I am.
