Lanier VoiceWriter 650 - David

I have a Lanier VoiceWiter 650. The carousel stopped working. The busy light is on but when I press the change button, nothing happens. Any ideas on what might cause this? I can operaate the carousel manually. Also the fast forward and rewind buttons do not work.
