If you're a CS grad, go to their forums and you'll see several people have passed the CCS with just the medical coding course, including myself. I guess CS has improved since you were there. I graduated last year and many MTs were able to skip certain courses - they offered it to me when I signed up w/o my asking about it. If anything, I find ICD 10 is much easier than 9 even though I was one of the last students to take the ICD 9/ICD 10 version of the course.
