You are exceptional - Another CS grad

Posted: Sep 26th, 2016 - 9:54 pm In Reply to: Took me... - CS Grad

I took the CS course a few years ago. I worked full time as an MT and finished in a year. I had over 30 years experience as an MT and was never given the option to test out of anything; in fact, all students were advised to complete all the modules. ICD-10 requires a very high level of proficiency and college level A & P courses so some things in your story don't ring true unless you had access to some answer keys on the exams. Unless CS has improved, there was no way I could have passed the CCS on the first attempt. I got hired on site with the caveat that I sit for and pass the CPC within a year and I needed that time to prepare. I hate to be blunt, but either you are a wunderkind or are not telling the truth.
