A long time ago I interviewed for a job and had to take a touch-typing test. I had about 10-15 years of MT experience at the time. This was on an electric typewriter. I think I had about 7-8 errors and they wanted 5 or less I think. I tried to explain to them that MTs don't touch type, buthey would not even send me to the department head for an interview. Ironically I ended up working on the hospital account when it was outsourced to at that time MRC Group which eventually became Medquist.
