I was offered a remote job a week after obtaining the CPC. Join the Facebook group Jobs for American Medical Coders, very supportive, helpful, and full of info and jobs. There are also Facebook groups for those who are Career Step students and alumni that are very active and just as helpful. Be glad to answer any specific questions you may have. I'm a former MT for 25 years, that's why I happen to be on this board every once in a while still. Someone mentioned the other day that there was a coding section here, so I was checking it out.
